Hey everyone!! I got my first guinea pigs yesterday. Or should I say, my grandparents got my first guinea pigs yesterday. They are staying at my grandparents house for a while untill I can pick them up on the 9th of Nov.
On a sadder note, my dog maggie died yesterday. I will always love her.

Hey. I don’t have a guinea pig right now. Although I think I might get one soon. I’ll keep you all posted on my piggie status.

Guinea pigs are animals of many needs. They need to be cared for daily, new food, water, and all the other care stuff. They are also VERY social animals, and like to have company, such as another piggie. They must also be out of their cages for at least 1 hour a day, even if they have a large C&C cage (cubes and chloroplast). The minimum cage size must be at least 7.5 square feet for one or two guinea pigs. Make sure to feed them good quality food, preferably no mixes, pellets are the best option. They should also have lots of places to run and hide as they become uncomfortable being hovered over. Thanks for reading my short little post on the basic care of guinea pigs, and their requirements.
